Spiritual and Single?

I have been in my role as a Psychic, a Healer, a Spiritual Teacher and Coach for over twenty years now, and in truth, I have spent most of that single but why?!

I get asked so many times why are so many spiritual people single, so I thought I would simply share my perception.

When we are to loose the trappings of the illusion, the outside world, we are always required to turn within. This is the only way to let go of the external influences, structures, impressions, impact, beliefs and even expectations of this world.

As I reflect on my past relationships, I can see that so often when a relationship became too consuming, all about them, too distracting from my own journey, it was ripped out. Cleared to clear space for me to not only find myself again but to find a new level of me too.

Often when we are in a relationship we give the whole of ourselves, we give too much and the focus and the path ahead becomes all about them and not about us. We loose the importance of being I and Me even when we are a We. So often, the journey of spiritual awakening and growth will rip us out of the arms of someone we feel love for.

When we have truly come to a place of self love and are confident in who we are, only then can we love another without selling our soul to be a ‘we’.
