2021, Thank You for the Lesson!
Here in the UK we entered the year of 2021, again in lockdown and once again withdrew from the world and for many their Christmas festivities were ruined. However, it created a pause, a time to reflect and reset ready for the year ahead.
Now twelve months on, it has been quite a journey for so many, me included but one I am grateful for. It has taught me many things about life, business, energy, people and even me.
I think the most powerful shift this year was to stop hiding, I was not even aware that I still was to be fair. Many of us developed an energy of hiding away, playing small, staying safe through the lockdown seasons and without knowing it, I had too. Talking publicly about how I experience the world, the ‘stuff’ I know, the ‘stuff’ I am able to do, has been huge.
I had to challenge the old version of me. The version of me who still wanted to conform, to be accepted, to fit in. To sit quietly in the background nodding in agreement so others were comfortable.
At one point this year, I decided to start dating again. I remember so clearly having been on a couple of dates, with someone, that if I wanted to be in a relationship that I would need to drop my spirituality.
